About Kingbird Farms

\We're a micro-farm, about 1 acre of vegetables and 1 acre of fruit trees, and 150 hops plants. We are non-commercial, farming for ourselves, friends, and the local food banks. As the hops and fruit trees come into full production over the next few years, we'll move toward small-scale commercial sales.

We're about 25 miles south of Sacramento, west of the small town of Galt. We're a 5-acre inholding in the 50,000-acre Cosumnes River Preserve, a major project of The Nature Conservancy. Our nearest neighbor is about a mile away. Our neighborhood is spectacularly rich in birds, with migrant and resident songbirds throughout the year, and large and graceful sandhill cranes from late September to March.
